The K–8 Principal is the instructional leader of the school, guiding teaching and learning while ensuring students are at the center of every decision.

The Early Childhood Director leads CDS’s Early Childhood division, shaping children’s Jewish identity, confidence, and love of learning.

• Be a visible, hands-on leader in classrooms
• Coach, inspire, and retain early childhood educators
• Build trusting partnerships with families
• Ensure child safety, care, and alignment with K–8 curriculum

Job Summary: (10 months)

Create a positive and engaging learning environment for students. Plan and deliver age-appropriate
lessons, while fostering the development of students' social, emotional, and cognitive skills. Assess
student progress, provide individualized support, and collaborate with colleagues and parents to ensure
each child's academic and personal growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• Pennsylvania teacher’s license preferred
• Proven experience as a teacher.
• Thorough knowledge of teaching best practices.
• Excellent verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Capacity and desire to differentiate instruction for all students.
• Computer literacy, experience using G-Suite, comfortable learning the school's existing digital tools (mycomday, schoolpass, DOJO, Clever, Goguardian, Lexia, Math in Focus, Zoom...)
