CDS Middle School (Grades 6-8) is a dynamic, inclusive community where students are encouraged to express themselves, where their voices are heard, and where they can be their authentic selves.
Middle School students study language arts, math, Hebrew, science, Jewish texts, social studies, Spanish, Facing History & Ourselves, the arts, STEM, health, and more.
Jewish values and traditions are woven into the fabric of daily school life, helping students develop a strong moral compass that guides their actions both in and out of the classroom.
Here, students are equipped with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to excel in high school and beyond—and empowered to become compassionate and responsible citizens of the world.
The dedicated team of learning specialists in our Academic & Emotional Services Department works collaboratively with faculty and parents to meet the individual needs of students with diverse learning styles and support skill-building in social-emotional development.
6th Grade enjoys two days of outdoor adventures at Camp Eder environmental learning center, 7th Grade spends four days of discovery and fun in Washington, D.C., and after graduation, 8th Grade travels to Israel for two weeks in the capstone CDS experience.
Located on our 3rd Floor, CDS Middle School is a magical place with programs developmentally designed to meet the needs of 11-14-year-olds. Students feel safe and comfortable to be themselves, take risks, and build friendships that last a lifetime.
Faculty advisors truly get to know each student through our Kehillah program, meeting regularly in individual and group settings to ensure that every child is thriving. This Advisory program is grounded in the principles of the Responsive Classroom approach to build a positive community.
