Grandparent & Special Friend Day 2020
SAVE THE DATE: Friday, May 8
Time and connection links coming soon!
Dear Community Day School Grandparents and Special Friends,
First and foremost, I hope this message finds you healthy and safe.
While our campus is closed due to the COVID-19 situation, we are wide open for learning every day in online spaces at CDS@home, now in its third week.
Jewish educator Sara Debbie Gutfriend said: "In every situation in life, we can choose how to respond to our circumstances, and through that choice, moment by moment, we grow and transform ourselves."
I am so inspired by our faculty for the creativity, flexibility, and expertise they've demonstrated in making this transition and I am deeply proud of the growth mindset and courage our students are showing every day as they adapt to our new reality.
Our ability to innovate rapidly and reimagine how we deliver education in this time of crisis is only possible because of the strong and dynamic learning community that we've built together over the years, grounded in our shared Jewish values.
I would like nothing more than for you to still join us virtually for Grandparent and Special Friend Day 2020 and experience CDS@home for yourself together with your favorite CDS students, all from the comfort of your own home.
We will share details about the time of this online event and how to connect in the coming weeks.
Wishing you a safe, healthy, and meaningful Passover,
Avi Baran Munro, Ed.M.
Head of School
CDS Grandparent Association Co-Chairs Scott and Ruth Apter
