Athletics

Students dancing at a soccer game at halftime

Sports are an integral part of life at CDS, with almost 90% of Middle School students choosing to join an interscholastic team.

Our inclusive Athletics program goes beyond winning and losing, encouraging students of all skill levels to participate and discover their strengths.

We offer a welcoming environment that allows both seasoned athletes and newcomers alike to flourish and develop their skills.

CDS has a "no cut" policy, which means that any student who fully participates may join the team. Every effort is made to give all athletes game experience, with a focus on teamwork and dedication.

Teams practice and compete on our beautiful multi-purpose athletic field, in our gymnasium, or on the trails of our nearby city parks.

No matter which sports CDS students pursue, they benefit from heightened personal integrity, good sportsmanship, self-discipline, perseverance, self-confidence, and an appreciation for competition.

CDS interscholastic sports include:
  • Cross Country
  • Soccer
  • Basketball
  • Track
  • Ultimate Frisbee
  • Little Lions Cheer (Gr. 3 & 4)
  • Little Lions Running

5th Grade students are invited to play on our Middle School teams as part of our "Step Up" program.
