You may ask, "Why give?" Doesn't tuition cover all of Community Day School's operating expenses?" The simple answer is, "No." Excellence has a high price, and in the interest of affordability, the cost of educating one student at CDS exceeds even our full tuition. In contrast to most independent schools and in reflection of our values, CDS is also committed to offering every Jewish child an outstanding education regardless of financial means.

Since tuition alone does not balance our budget, we depend on vital support from the Jewish Federation of Greater Pittsburgh, state educational improvement tax credits, and the generosity of people like you to meet the shortfall.
