Ways to Give

Honor or Tribute Gifts are a special and powerful way to recognize or memorialize an individual, while contributing to the work of CDS.

Your thoughtfulness and generosity will be acknowledged both to you and through notifications sent to the individual(s) being honored or their family.

Donating appreciated stocks, bonds, or mutual funds may provide you with significant tax benefits. Securities must be received in our brokerage account via electronic transfer on or before June 30 to be recorded in the current fiscal year, or December 31 to ensure your gift is tax-deductible in the calendar year intended. If you pay business or personal tax in Pennsylvania, you may be able to direct your tax dollars to benefit CDS and earn tax credits for you or your business. Learn more about how the EITC program can benefit your bottom line and support CDS.

The Shirley Lyon Zionts Birthday Book Program is a wonderful way to support the Karen Rachel Hurwitz Library at CDS by allowing your child or grandchild to choose a book(s) to donate to the library on the occasion of their birthday.

Choose this option as the "designation" for your online gift, and our librarian will help your child select a fabulous book! Your child’s name and who donated the book will be printed on a nameplate on the inside cover.
